When you arrive

As you stand at the entrance of the old Vic entrance you enter through the large glass doors (there is an access button to the right of the door)

You then enter the entrance foyer which has flyers for performances, directly in front of you. Above the flyers are glass windows looking into the box office reception, although you will need to go through the next door to talk to the box office team. There is a glass door to your left which leads you into the main foyer of the building.

There are tables and chairs directly in front of you, beyond that is the bar area, which stretches all along the wall adjacent to you.  At the left end of the bar is a water fountain.

As you walk immediately through the door, facing the bar, if you turn to your right and take 3 steps, the box office desk is to your left.  A member of the Bristol Old Vic team will greet you and give you your tickets and direct you to somewhere to wait.

If the main bar area is too busy or noisy for you, there is a calm space for you to wait for the performance to start. There is also seating available directly outside the Weston Studio on the lower level, which has dimmed lights and is quieter. Please ask a member of staff if you would like any support in finding these areas.

While facing the box office desk if you turn to your left, take 6 steps and turn to your right you will find our pre show guidance table on specific days.  The pre-show guidance will be located near the entrance to the balcony seating, lift and stairs to the lower seating for Weston Studio. We will have pre show guidance available on certain days of our performances, details can be found here:
